The Management team within the plant BOSAL Netherlands (BNLV) which is converting  toward Energy Conversion Industry (ECI) Production for the Industrial market is looking for a new colleague with drive, the Manager Supply & Supply chain. As Management team member in the BNLV Plant you will be responsible for the coordination, planning and management of the production material flows towards a product. Main responsibility will be rolling out your developed supply and supply chain strategy according the plant and division strategy & vision. BOSAL ECI serves a worldwide market with customers in Europe, the USA and Asia. Within the BOSAL organization you can prove your capability of taking the lead forward to the bright future of BNLV as the lead production site for BOSAL Energy Conversion Industry Division.

BOSAL from its start in 1923 expanded and developed its product range from the production of steel tube for exhaust systems towards one of the foremost producers of emission control systems, tow bars, roof carriers, and cabs for industrial vehicles. BOSAL sells products in more than 100 countries throughout the world and has become an OE supplier for GM, Renault, Jaguar, Ford, Chrysler, BMW, Suzuki, GAZ, Skoda, VW and Audi. BOSAL has in total 34 production plants and 14 distribution centers.

The ECI division is a young and innovative diversification of the BOSAL product platform into high temperature stainless steel products for (waste) heat recovery in for example fuel cell , micro turbine and Stirling applications. The R&D center is located in Lummen (BE) and the production and industrialization takes place in Vianen (NL). In the location Vianen a full transformation from low to high tech production is in process.  In this process a solid and secured supply and supply chain according the industry standard and beyond is a need. The moreover, the BOSAL group actively practices the concept of “Open Innovation” and collaborates with a large number of external business and knowledge partners.


Manager Supply & Supply chain

Within the position of Manager Supply & Supply chain your main activities concern:

  • Develop a supply and supply chain Vision and Strategy
  • Reach KPI’s and yearly plans for the department
  • Developing, implementation and improve supply processes and methodology
  • Manage methodology, processes for internal and external logistics
  • Manages Sales and customer information regarding planning and forecasts
  • Warehousing
  • To create a Supply Chain management and organization system for BNLV
  • To set and control the calculations of logistical expenses on quoted projects within the ECI division
  • To set external logistical concepts for new ECI division projects, including resource requirements.
  • Manage the supply and supply chain group, currently 4,5 direct reports
  • Manage the coordination between Production manager and Supply
  • Talent Management  

On top you are willing to travel once a week to our R&D center in Lummen (BE) and if needed several times a year to our customers or other BOSAL production facilities worldwide (also outside Europe).


Requirements

SKILLS

  • HBO+/WO level in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Operation Management.
  • Senior Management level with the ability to work both on a strategic and operational level
  • Energetic, results oriented personality with a sense of urgency
  • Genuine interest in operations
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Six Sigma, Black belt certification a strong advantage
  • Problem solving skills
  • Continuous improvement
  • English (fluent), Dutch and German (preferred)

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in comparable industry or expertise.
  • Proven experience on senior management level and Lean Manufacturing
  • Experience with planning of production, logistics and equipment management
  • Financial management is a strong advantage
  • Experience in leading, coaching of a team according leadership
